Learn acting why can be useful

This article is about learning to act. I searched the web a lot and i've noticed there are really a few sites about learning to act. With thiese posts i would like to collect experiences and informations about acting and if possible even exercises.Have you ever tought what it takes to be an actor? What skills do we have to discover in ourselves and learn? Acting means being natural, being themselves or apply tecniques? How do we learn these tecniques? A lot of people nowadays want to be actors, why? Because it seems that acting is an easy job and because the stars earn a lot of money. Often we see singers becoming actors, so is that easy to act? Maybe acting is not so much about films or Hollywood or red carpets and it's more about theater or there is a way to act for a film and another one to act in theater. Have you been to theater recently? Have you ever seen a play, a classic one? Or have you ever seen a tragedy with all that enfatic dramatic acting that would be ridiculous on screen. Why should you consider learning acting tecniques? Not all the people that learn to act does it for actually becoming an actor. Learn to act can increase our consciousness on our facial espressions, our gestures our ability to feel emotions and moreover our ability to being effective in a presentation at work or in a public speech. Have you ever seen politicians speaking on tv or at an audience? They've repeated that speech many times, prepared their gestures, they look at the audience to convince, isn't that acting? Acting like a way to communicate effectively. But what kind of actor we want to be? As beginners we won't start with learning how to stand behind a camera of course even if nowadays everyone of us has one in its phone. We'll try to make small effective exercises that we'll help us starting. Do you remember when you were at school reading poetry? All the children read the same way, the same voice tone with no expression, have you ever read loud since that time? This is the first exercise: read loud something. Everything is fine, a page on a book, an essay or a novel. How are you? Is it your voice monotone or you can express the essence of the lecture? At first you maybe won't be entusiastic of your results but keep trying, feel what you say and after that read a poetry, it is a lot more difficult but it's worth trying. Learn to act part 2 will come soon. by Ann
