New York Broadway Shows

There is really nothing like the experience of watching a Broadway show. So the next time you visit New York, make sure that you drop by a theater and enjoy an entertaining and relaxing time watching fabulous Broadway performances.

Here is a list of popular Broadway shows:

• Chicago Chicago is popular satire musical play based from the book by Fred Ebb. This wonderful play talks about the prohibition era in Chicago while fusing in the issues of corruption and celebrity criminal. Chicago was first performed on 1975 at Broadway's 46th Street Theatre.

• The Lion King The Lion King is a top rating musical play based in the 1994 animated film by Walt Disney. Debuted on July 1997 at the Orpheum Theatre, this musical is now considered as the ninth longest running Broadway show in history.

• Mamma Mia Mamma Mia is jukebox musical play which was based from the popular song from ABBA. It also includes other hits such as "Thank you for the Music", "Money, Money, Money", "Dancing Queen", and "Voulez Vous".

• Avenue Q Avenue Q is a popular musical written and directed by Jason Moore. This show is regarded for winning several Tony Awards and other citations. by Jody Palmer Model
